MrShutterbug is an award-winning freelance wildlife photographer who has been carrying a point and shoot camera ever since his fingers got big enough to press the shutter button. in August 2008 his fiancee bought him his first digital single-lens reflex camera and that was the birth of MrShutterbug Wildlife Photography. Though based on the fringes of Windsor Great Park in Egham Surrey, he is widely travelled - key regions outside the UK include wildlife images from the USA, Canada, Europe and Africa.

 

With a keen interest in all things adventurous and outdoors (such as tracking, walking, mountaineering, skiing) he has become a photographer with a specialty in wildlife - specifically Big Cat photography. Clients include guidebook publishers, outdoor gear manufacturers, software publishers and card publishers.

Photography Tips

Great wildlife photography comes from the heart and not the head, but one important step in achieving that great image is having the right gear for the job. This does not mean you have to own the most expensive or the latest equipment to take good wildlife photographs, but you must have a thorough knowledge of the right kit for the right situation - and how to use it properly.

The camera equipment is merely the tool used to achieve the image you desire.
